Boxer Patrick Day has died aged 27 – four days after suffering head injuries in a struggle against Charles Conwell. The American was set in a coma with a severe head injury on Saturday after he had been knocked out in the round of the welterweight bout. Promoter Lou DiBella affirmed Day had died on Wednesdaysurrounded by his family, close relatives and friends of the boxing group.
